Florian Seeger was born in Tuebingen, Germany, in 1981. He already showed an impressive musical talent as a small child and therefore, at the age of nine, he took his first trombone lessons. Shortly after, he also started playing the guitar.

After graduating from high school he studied Jazz and Popular Music at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, and later at the Royal Conservatory in Ghent, Belgium, where he studied with Marc Godfroid, a top performer of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra and the SWR Big Band.
